During Lent, we hold "Lenten Morning Watch" services at 8:30am each Sunday in the chapel.
Come to the Quiet - Our lives are busy consumed with a multitude of things we must get done. Sometimes our "responsibilities" get in the way of what we most need - to slow down, to come into the quiet, to pause long enough that the Stillspeaking God might communicate with us. Lenten Morning Watch provides that opportunity for you. You are invited to "Come to the Quiet" on the Sunday mornings in Lent at 8:30am in the chapel. Our services are one-half hour of prayer, lectio divina, and eucharist. Enhance your preparation in Lent. "Come to the Quiet" March 17 through April 17 and be rejuvenated.
Palm Sunday - will include our annual visit by residents of Peppermint Ridge and preaching by our Pastor Emeritus, Joe Sandven. The youth will host a luncheon following worship.
Maundy Thursday – we will worship with our San Diego Partnership as members of our congregation (Bruce Ramet and Howard Wiggins) participate in a reenactment of the Last Supper at Christian Fellowship United Church of Christ, 1601 Kelton Rd., 92114. The service begins at 7:00 p.m.
Good Friday – Walk the labyrinth, pause for prayer at the Stations of the Cross, or simply come and meditate/pray in our church’s Fellowship Hall. The hall will be set up for your individual pilgrimage and prayer time between 5 and 9 p.m. Come anytime during that period for this candlelight worship experience.
Easter Sunday –
Each year on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, all are invited to share in a church-wide Thanksgiving Lunch. Turkeys, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and stuffing are provided, and the congregation is asked to share their favorite side dishes, salads, and desserts, potluck style.
